It is kind of crazy...but my oldest sibling, a brother, is 18 years older than I am. When I was six years old he and his wife had their first child, Julie....I was an aunt at six years of age...I told you it was crazy! Then three years later when I was nine, they had their second child. That is my niece Lisa that came for a visit last year. The three of us pretty much grew up together and have always enjoyed each other's company. Julie and I were pregnant together when I was carrying Emily. She had a sweet little boy...who is now 10 years old. And while I was pregnant with Ean she found out she was pregnant again with a sweet little girl. Unfortunately we don't live near each other anymore...but I really wanted to make her baby girl an outfit. They live in Florida so I thought this cute little romper would be a good choice. I love the fabric....so delicate looking. The piping really does match even though the photo implies that it doesn't.
And what do you think about these adorable little socks? I love to see fresh baby piggies....but these socks are pretty cute too. I wanted to crochet them to match....but I could not find any crochet thread that matched perfectly. We'll just go for the "coordinating" look. I'm getting ready to package this ensemble up and send it down south to a sweet new baby. I hope my niece likes it!!!!
***Also, thanks so much for all the kind comments about Emily and her crocheted hat. She loved reading through the comments you all took the time to write. She was smiling ear to ear!!! She currently has finished 7 hats and we'll be getting some on Etsy soon. I'll keep you posted!!!***

I am so happy to have found your blog since I just recently acquired a new sewing machine (after a long period of time not having one) and I'm enjoying a newfound love of sewing! I hope to learn a lot from your archives.......blessings, Annie-emmy
