31 Days of Creating Wrap Up...

Well friends, it has been a fabulous 31 Days of Creating!!! Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me. I hope you were encouraged and/or inspired to find something, or many things, that you enjoy to engage in a few minutes each day.

As Corrie ten Boom said “What feeds the soul matters as much as what feeds the body.”

As for me, tonight I finished up my fourth knitted hat and I practiced spinning wool with my drop spindle.

Just A Spinning...............

I mentioned awhile back that the girls and I were learning how to spin yarn from wool roving. It has been a fun adventure. The whole process is amazing and mesmerizing. I based my middle school science fair project on the process of shearing sheep, spinning yarn, weaving cloth, etc. So I guess you can say I have been interested in this for quite awhile now. One day I would love to have a spinning wheel (that I know how to use, of course). But for now, we are having a ball spinning chunky yarn with this spindle. Hopefully, thinly spun yarn will come with experience.

Emily's fun is compounded by trying to keep Ethan away from the spindle. It seems all our children want to learn to spin yarn. Maybe we need to get everyone their own drop spindle.....but that might not be nearly as much fun as taking turns.
