Another Skort For Emily......

Emily picked out the fabric for this precious skort right before Ean was born. Fortunately she is a patient little girl. I started the shorts-part of the skort right before Ean arrived and then finally finished up the whole shebang a week or so ago. I tried out a different waistband on this skort and she really loves it. So when the pattern debuts it will have the choice of two different waistbands. It's always nice to have options...don't you think??!! Of course I used gingham fabric for the shorts....I'll squeeze in gingham every chance I get!!!

The neat thing about these skorts is that both of my girls LOVE them!!! So do moms and grandmas that we see out and about. I frequently get asked what store they came from. I love that my girls like them because they have reached the point where they don't always want me sewing for them. However, this Spring/Summer they have both worn their skorts constantly. Today neither one of them worn a skort but they both surprised me by wearing other items I had made them. Emily wore this smocked top....and Elisabeth wore this smocked dress. I'm always thrilled when they choose to wear something that I made them. Now to think about some Fall sewing!!!
