I've been trying to remember to post this give-away for awhile now.....but life and holidays have gotten in the way. But that's ok....because now it is official!!!
I mentioned awhile back that I was able to go to the Martha Pullen Warehouse Sale and had a great time. Well dear readers, I was thinking of you all while I was there. I picked up a few extra things just to be able to share with you. (And no, Ean is not part of the giveaway...but he is just so cute I had to share!!!)
First up....I got three Martha Pullen DVD's that are full of wonderful ideas and techniques. I have all of these and a few others from years ago, and I often sit down and watch them. I tend to forget what is on them and so when I watch them again....it's like the first time all over again.
I also picked up an extra Sew Beautiful Issue #80. I love this issue because it has the pattern by Laura Jenkins Thompson for the precious dress Pascale. I love this dress!!! The pattern pieces go together so well and the directions are well-written. Those are two big pet peeves of mine when it comes to patterns.
I have made the dress several times over the years for my girls. Here is Elisabeth in one.
And I always put piping on it and covered buttons....but you don't have to. Actually if you don't put the piping on it it would probably work up in one evening. Really! It's a great pattern!
Ok, back to the goodies. I am also including this beautiful piece of fabric. It would be perfect for Christmas sewing!!! It is red, green, and white herringbone (I guess that's what you would call it). I can see a simple little A-Line with a white collar. Or little boy pants or a bubble....it would be wonderful for just about anything you can imagine. This piece of fabric measures 2 yards and it is 60" wide. Lots of potential there!
Alright...there you have it! 1 Give-Away that includes the following items: 3 Martha Pullen DVD's, 1 Sew Beautiful Issue #80, and 2 yards of gorgeous fabric!!!!
If you are interested.....leave me a comment telling me your favorite item to sew....it can be anything....I am always curious about what others like to sew.
You can enter through Sunday evening and then I will randomly draw a name and announce it Monday morning. Good Luck!!! And happy stitching!!!

My favorite thing to sew is anything for my girls! They like it when I sew for them and while I don't make enough time to sew for me, I do try and do something if they want it. I also love silk ribbon embroidery! It took 1 fun class with Beverley Sheldrick and I was hooked:) I love your blog and seeing what your daughter is stitching!
I love to smock and sew just about anything for our almost 2year old grandgirl, but I love smocking and sewing tiny bishops best!
Hmm... I love sewing box-bags, because it's all about geometry... sewing bags in general is fine because they can scale up and down nicely... baby blankets are great... but the perfect sister-in-law is pregnant (first one in the family!), so I suppose the new favorite thing to sew will be things for the baby!
I have six grandaughters that I enjoy sewing for but I'm finding myself getting addicted to quilting too. Right now I'm working on smocking two bishops that will be Easter dresses. I start early because life keeps getting in the way:)

My favorite at this time is sewing little girl clothes. My youngest is the last of four and it won't be long until I won't be able to sew much for her (that she would want to wear anyway!)
Thanks so much for this great give-away!
Merry Christmas!
I love sewing dresses and anything in knit...they always make up so fast and easy!
Oh my goodness what a generous giveaway! My favorite thing to sew right now is button-on diaper covers for my baby boy--they're quick and cute and although it's too cold for them any more now, I made several for him this summer and make them for baby gifts. I have looked on ebay before for that particular Sew Beautiful and would love to have it but whoever wins will have a very fun time for Christmas!
great give away!
Currently my favorite thing to sew is little girls clothing, specifically the bishop dress. I recently learned to smock which has opened a huge new world of creativity for me! The bishop is such a simple but versatile garment and the quintessential little girl dress. I love dressing my 3 year old in a bishop, especially if I have labored over it. I have also found great joy in making bishops for dear friends!
!Oh how lovely! My favorite things to sew are dresses. I just love them! Thank you for the chance Cindy.
I love sewing jon jons for our two little boys. Maybe someday I'll be able to sew little bishops, but for now, I'm content, and loving little jon jons -- matching ones make me especially happy.
I have only started sewing recently, but I love sewing little girl's dresses. I also love to smock!
What a wonderful giveaway. Thanks!
Wow! Great giveaway Cindy! I don't have any of those things. Thanks for the chance to win. My favorite things to sew are nightgowns and pajamas! But it's a close tie to little girl dresses!
I love to sew my girls dresses. I'm also into quilting right now too. Love it!
I enjoy sewing. I wish I was better at clothing, but I am learning. I am a mom of 4 girls and it is getting harder and harder to find modest clothing for them so it is a must. I make mostly skirts, and have made 1 jumper so far and a few pillowcase dresses.
I also like to sew crafts. I have made carseat covers, tissue packs, crayon rolls, bags, water bottle slings, Puppet shows that hang in a doorway, and some baby blocks & teething rings.
Please include me in your drawing

Wow, What a wonderful Holdiay Giveaway, someone is going to be very blessed to get this one.
I love to sew the heirloom serger pjs featured in a sew beautiful magazine and has been featured at the Martha Pullen School of Art Fashion. I just love them. very girly and pretty. Made the 1st pr for my granddaughter who was hosting her first sleepover on her 7th birthday.

My favorite thing to sew.....probably a dress for my girls. The best feeling is to have them put it on and twirl around they're so happy.

I love to sew dresses for my girly granddaughter. She loves anything I make for her. Very motivating!
My favorite things to sew are childrens clothes. I also have been requested to make Barbie Clothes - and since I'm a mother of 4 boys, I never had a chance in the last generation.
I'm somewhat new to sewing, so I'm not sure I have developed favorites, yet. But I love to smock and make pretty things for my daughters.
My favorite are dresses too. Smocked bishops are at the top of the list followed by smocked jumpers, apron dresses, A-line jumpers and peasant dresses.
I have the Pascale SB issue out right now ready to trace. :)
I like sewing stuff for my girls (3 and 6). The things I make for myself never seem to be as easy or turn out as pretty as sewing for them.
What a fantastic give-away! I had the good fortune to attend a SOAF in Huntsville nearly three years ago. I love sewing for my granddaughter. Heirloom is what I love best, but she doesn't need but one dress like that each year, so I usually do the fun stuff like the a-line you mentioned!
My favorite thing to sew is precious dresses for my two granddaughters. I love being able to make special things for them. Of course I like to sew for my grandsons also but they are out of the jon jon stage so that limits the things I can do for them. I love your giveaway items!
I love to sew clothes for myself and my teen daughters. I like to try to duplicate ready to wear clothes that we see for a fraction of the price. I do find it frustrating to try and fing good fabric. the RTW clothes are simple to copy, but they are many times all about the fabric.
My favorite things to sew right now are for my friends having babies along with adding things to my daughter's "hope" chest as she calls it. It seems like everything I make, I have to make 2 because she wants one for her future children. Sewing is my stress way of relaxing especially smocking!!
I am actually new to sewing and have grown a great deal of interest in Modest Dresses. I have not had the chance to buy any patterns yet but the Cape Dress has given me the desire to do pursue this goal I have. Sewing to me is not just sewing, it is an art form something special that God has given to us women as part of the roll of being and becoming a Virtuous Woman. It is very relaxing and each individual has their own uniqueness to create wonderful works of art with the help of God. I have not sewn much but I have made a Kapp using the Christian Light Sewing Books and it has been a Blessing to put all the pieces together as if it was the greatest puzzle that I put together with the help of the hands of God... Blessings and thank you for the chance to enter in this Give-Away
My favorite things to sew is childrens clothing (any thing under size 10). All the sewing I do is for a homeless shelter for women and children. I belong to a sewing group and we take donated pieces of fabric and sew for the kids. I love it, just wish I had more time to sew.
Hi Cindy,
What a great give away- I especially love the plaid fabric- lots of ways to use that! I hope you're having fun with the kids getting ready for Christmas!
Dresses...little girl dresses to be more specific, is what I like to sew best. But, unfortunately, lately I've not done any sewing. Sigh. I want to make a Christmas dress for Emily, but not sure when it's going to happen. Generous giveaway, Cindy. I love your blog and your sewing, but then, you already know that. :)
p.s. Ean is adorable! I love his curls.
I've been pondering your question since you posted it, and it finally dawned on me what the proper answer is! My favorite thing to sew is purses. Mostly I use Lazy Girl patterns; my current favorite is the Miranda Day Bag. Someday, I hope to have grandchildren to sew for, but for now, I'll make my purses, along with curtains, the occasional bit of clothing, or whatever else comes my way.
What a lot of lovely things in your give-away! I can't say that there's any one thing that I love to sew--I enjoy sewing gifts for others. Lately I have made several baby quilts using the book you suggested in a previous post!
Sewing for my girls, my very favorite though has to be smocking those beautiful bishops, those baby ones are too sweet! I have really enjoyed picture smocking inserts for jumpers, once the smocking is done it doesn't take long to pop it into the jumper yoke and she is soon twirling down the hallway! Thanks for shopping at MP, that is my dream! Blessings!
Cindy I have a question about the Pascale pattern. My issue of SB #80 isn't handy so I'm going to trace my pattern from issue #114, do you know if there is any difference in the patterns from those 2 issues? I love your version BTW!!!!!!
KarenH...I think the patterns are the same, however issue #114 says it has additional information as well. I think it says the original pattern information from issue #80 is on the pattern pull-out sheet in issue #114. Does that make sense? I hope it answers your question. Enjoy sewing it....I always enjoyed stitching Pascale....it goes together so well!!!
Dresses, Dresses and more Dresses!!! My daughter has a closet bursting with them. As a pattern designer I like to create a variety of things but I always go back to pretty little girls dresses. Thanks so much Cindy for such a great give-a-way!!!
