A Fresh Stack of Fabric.....
This past week Emily told me of a few items she would like for Spring. So we carved out a trip to the local heirloom shop one morning. Once there she promptly picked the above fabrics. I like her choices. I stayed up late into the evening a few days ago and cut everything out. Now I need to dedicate some time to stitching. I think most of them will go together quickly. One item I have no pattern for.....so I will have to work on a prototype first. I do enjoy drafting patterns though...so it should be fun.
I also still have two dresses on my sewing table that I can't seem to get motivated to finish. One of them is a pattern that has just about done me in...but I will persevere and win the challenge...it is just a matter of time. The other is a sweet baby day gown for a friend's first baby girl. I am almost finished.....just need to set aside some time to complete it. I mostly only sew when the little ones are napping, having quiet time, or in bed for the night. That really doesn't leave much time. Sometimes I am amazed I get as much done as I do.

She has a great eye for fabric!!
Wonderful choices!! I am always amazed at how much you sew -- especially knowing that you only do it during quiet and bed times. You are very talented!
I look forward to seeing Emily's new outfits.
Cute fabrics. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
