I really have spent quite a bit of time sewing this week. Unfortunately, I've spent even more time ripping out. I once took a class with Michie' Mooney (of Creations by Michie') and she actually has a braided ribbon lanyard that she hangs around her neck that holds her little pocket scissors and a very nice seam ripper. Maybe that is what I need to do. Because every time I turn around this week I am heading to my drawer to get my seam ripper. I would probably save a lot of time if it was attached to me!!!
I hope you all are having better luck this week in your sewing endeavors. And I still have not made it to the heirloom shop to pick out buttons for Elisabeth's new outfit. Maybe tomorrow...and if not, Saturday for sure!!! On a positive note....the little preemie baby bishop is almost finished.....I think I'm going to add a little embroidery tonight and then it will be finished.

Some days I find I do more ripping than stiiching too. I've actually been doing some sewing this week too. Nothing exciting, but all the same I happy to be at the machine.
Your dresses are always so pretty. It's the little things you do to them that make them so darling and feminine!
My daughters call it the 'ream sipper" and it is their favorite tool!

I always thought it was funny when people called them frog stitches because you were "rip it, rip it". I have soooo had those days!! Can't wait to see the finished outfit. It looks so springy and I am ready for spring!!
Good idea! I expect to rip out at least one seam per project.
oh, I SO need that lanyard for the seam ripper. Have a picture? Can't figure that one out :)
I am so glad I am not the only one to spend a lot of time with my seam ripper!!!
Jennifer....for the lanyard....it is three 1/8" ribbons (pastels) braided together into a long length (probably 25" or so) and then the ends tied together. Before the ends are tied together a pair of scissors are slipped on and a seam ripper with a loop on it so that it can be slipped on the braided ribbon. Does that make more sense???
