Did You Know You Can Bake Donuts At Home?????
Ok, I have finished smocking the dresses and I have cut out Ethan's outfit, however, I have not done any sewing yet....that's the bad news. The good news though....is that we have homemade baked donuts!!! How can you be too sad when you have yummy donuts to eat????? This is "sewing avoidance" at its finest!!!!
I used the recipe that came with the donut pan and they turned out pretty tasty. I will hunt around and see if I can find more recipes though. I do have a chocolate recipe that I want to try. And I think next time I will make a chocolate glaze for the top. For the mini donuts I made a vanilla glaze and sprinkled little jimmies on top. All the kids, including Ethan, gobbled them up!!!

Wahoo on getting the smocking finished! You have plenty of time to get the outfits sewn up, and I can't wait to see them.
Thanks for telling me about the knitting book on seaming. I'm going to see if I can find it.
mmmmm, those donuts look good.
I wouldn't call it avoidance, as much as I'd call it providing a yummy treat for those starving babies! After all you went through to smock, the sewing should be the easiest part. I have faith that you'll get it done. We don't get to do the traditional Easter stuff because this year it's Walter's birthday on Easter. I get a double whammy! In our house the birthday person gets to choose the activities instead of having a big party!
Enjoy those goodies!!
