Just In Time......It's Cold Outside!!!

I finished up this sweater for Ethan this past week. I used this pattern by Wendy Bernard. I think if I make it again I will not make the neck so high. Ethan does not have much of a neck yet....so this sweater looks like a turtleneck on him....and unfortunately, he does not like that aspect. But it is cute. If I make it again, I may even make the cardigan version because another issue I experienced was making the neck large enough to fit over his head. I had to pull out the bind off stitches once and re-do it to make it stretchy enough.

I think the yoke is pretty neat. You can make the sweater using as many or as few colors as you want. I used three because I thought any more would be too busy for such a little sweater.

It was definitely a fun and fast knit considering it was knit in the round from the bottom up. I like to knit things in the round because they seem to go faster for me. When I have to purl it slows me down some. I have already cast on for another sweater for Ethan. I am using a different pattern and I think it is adorable too.

I think I finished this sweater in about two weeks. Then I put it in the guest room to block and forgot about it for a few days.

We had a very productive craft weekend here.....we stayed home a lot since it was only 32 degrees for the high temperature. I have lots of pictures to show this coming week of many things I have finished up and some that Emily has completed. It seems that every time I cross something off my list, I find myself putting another five items to make onto the list......guess that's why I am always working on at least five to ten projects at any given time. But I guess it keeps me busy and out of trouble!!!

That sweater looks adorable on him. Of course if he wasn't so handsome, it might only be cute, not adorable! It looks like a professional knitting job to me. Keep up the good work.

How sweet is he! Gosh. And I love the sweater. Funny that it's knit from the bottom up--seems like Wendy is usually a top-down designer. But maybe that's because of the yoke patterning or something. Anyway, it looks adorable on him!
