On Thanksgiving Eve during my teenage years, I used to help my cousin make pies for the next day. We would stay up late into the night until we finished all we needed to do. And being from a large family we would make a lot of pies and cakes. Anyway...in honor of my cousin Leonora....here is my pumpkin pie for this year.
Recently I found a way to make my homemade pie crust even easier. I put the flour, salt, and butter into the food processor and then add cold water until it *pulls* together. Then instead of rolling it out, I dump the entire crust into my pie plate. Then I use my hands and fingers to press it out on the bottom and sides and finally I crimp the edges. Done!!! It always works great for me and is delicious!!!
Elisabeth had a Thanksgiving Trimming too.....she received a hair cut....compliments of me.
Fortunately her curly hair is very forgiving and my skills are improving.
And she sure is cute...which always helps!!!
Peek-a-Boo Elisabeth!!!!!

That pie sure looks good. I am not so skilled at baking, but I can cook just about anything! I sure do like Elisabeth's haircut. She looks like a million bucks!
Missy,
I bet you are a wonderful baker!!!
Thanks for the compliments on Elisabeth's hair....like I said...."curly hair is forgiving." The next test will be in the next few days when Ethan gets his first haircut.
