Smoky Mountain Kind of Weekend

We traveled to the Smokies on Thursday to spend the weekend with my parents. Considering we had only two full days while there we accomplished quite a bit. (No, we did not go to Dollywood....but it would have been fun I am sure!!!)

The girls each built a bear at Boyd's Bear Country......more details and photos to come.

Wayne took the girls golfing.......

And Emily and Grandpa played their violins........

We also visited a great little quilt shop in downtown Sevierville, TN and I got lots of goodies. The staff was extremely friendly and the selection of patterns and fabric was amazing.

And although Ethan appears to be forgotten.....he was there and was his usual jolly self. He was the only one that scored any new clothes. I left Carter's with a large bag of winter clothes for him...(shirts really.....plain, basic, long-sleeved shirts are hard to find for babies!)

I had several projects to share while we were away but much to our surprise we did not have internet capability. So stay tuned for more finished projects....and yes, I know, I can't keep up this momentum forever. But it sure is fun while it lasts. In addition, my visit to the quilt store has my mind spinning with even more potential new projects. Inspiration is always good! However, now after a long drive home (with children who consumed pancakes, french toast, and maple syrup for breakfast), the unloading of the truck (as usual, not pretty), four loads of laundry completed (with two more to finish in the morning), grocery store, baths, etc.......it is time to crawl into bed and get some sleep!!! Crafting will have to wait until morning!!!
