Several weeks ago the children and I ventured to the local heirloom sewing store to pick out some fabric and patterns for fall outfits.
Emily immediately picked out this chocolate brown corduroy and this beautiful lining fabric. Then she proceeded to pick out a Children's Corner pattern for a jumper. Once again we could not find any buttons that complimented the jumper so we decided to make fabric covered buttons.
We think the finished result is great. Emily is so proud of her design choices that pulled this jumper together. In fact, we went back to the store and purchased enough of both fabrics to make Elisabeth an identical jumper. Both girls love jumpers and we tend to make them pretty long so their legs stay warm in the colder months....plus they offer lots of room for growth!
