I am happy to report the smocking part of this little dress is complete! And today while at piano lessons for the girls...and chasing Ean around....I was able to hand hem the sleeves too. Forward progress is always good! I still have most of the dress construction ahead of me...and I hope to get that done over the weekend.
In the meantime, I've been working on finishing a crocheted blanket for a friend of mine. Her mother was making several blankets for her great granddaughter and then passed away. So my friend asked me if Emily and I would finish crocheting these blankets for her so they can still be given to the little girl. Of course, I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I declined. So Emily and I have been doing a bit of crocheting here and there too. What are you all working on? Any special summer projects???

The bishop will be so sweet! I am actually going to try and make some summer skirts for me! Wonder if they really will be summer skirts, or end up being fall skirts? The days are speeding by faster than I realize!
Love, love, love this sweet little bishop! What a wonderfully meaningful project for you and your daughter! Projects...I have three smocked dresses waiting for construction!
So beautiful Cindy!! Just what a Bishop should be.... Darby ox
Love the bishop! My summer has been so crazy that I thought last night that maybe my summer goal should just be fabric shopping! :)
I love this dress! The fabric is so sweet. I just started a new job so it has been kind of crazy but now I am going to jump back in and get some projects done from last year's classes in Huntsville before I bring new ones home this year!
I've been knitting lately, but the other day I decided to try crocheting again after many years. It came right back to me, at least the basic stitches. Working on a large granny square baby afghan in a soft pastel green. I have some yellow for a second one.
I love your little bishop dress! Beautiful colors. Happy birthday to your little Ean - 2 years old! Such a cutie.
Your smocking really is perfect. Love the colors. Can't wait to see it finished.
That is such lovely smocking! I have never tried it, and I am so impressed!
Bless you!
