Emily has been enjoying making fabric yo-yo's the last week or so. She is hoping to make enough to put together a quilt for her doll. I told her I thought that was completely realistic...it won't take that many for a doll quilt.
Next thing I knew she was teaching Elisabeth how to make yo-yo's. Emily is a lot like me....she enjoys sharing with others when she learns something new.
Sweet Elisabeth was very proud of her completed yo-yo. And she should be. I'm thrilled when I finish anything....and for a 6 year old, she is doing great in the needlework department!! It helps having a good big sister to teach you the ropes!!!

Your fabrics are always so beautiful! And your sweet girls are doing a wonderful job! I'm going to show my girls these tomorrow. Maybe that will pique their interest in sewing again.
I am looking forward to seeing pictures of Elisabeth's dress on her.
How sweet - they are just adorable! :)
Too sweet. I love making yo yo's.

The girls always do such a good job. It reminds me of Abbie teaching Andrew needle crafts!
How wonderful! I am happy to see how much you let your kids do! I think it's a shame so many folks think things like sewing are "too hard" for little children! I laugh and think of your girls sewing, or of my grandmother having to knit rows on her socks and those of her little sister each day before school!! Times change. Lovely work girls--can't wait to see the pretty quilt that results.
