One Guess.....

....as to what's missing from the above pictures???? If you guessed children....you are correct!!! The Christmas cards are signed and addressed....and the outfits are sewn and pressed....the tree and decorations are up and ready....but where are the children you ask???? Well, they are busy passing around a fever/sore throat/stuffy nose virus!!! We have decided to wait until all three are feeling better before attempting Christmas photos. Watery eyes, sneezes, and rosy cheeks don't make for a great holiday picture in my mind. Hopefully everyone will be back to normal soon. And hopefully I can catch up on all my holiday sewing. Sick children equals no sewing for the mom. However, I have about finished up my holiday shopping.....internet shopping is my favorite...especially since I haven't left the house in over a week...because of the sick children, remember???? Plus I think I have watched about every classic Christmas show this year on television. Many I haven't seen in twenty+ years. I'm not so sure how I feel about that though. Me and cartoons don't mix too well. I'd rather be sewing!!!!

Please tell me you are going to make that beautiful Edwardian dress in the Sew Beautiful magazine? It's the one with the Skate stocking on the cover? I told my 11 year old about it and you'd think I suggested she wear diapers!! lol...... I love seeing your lovely creations for your kids. So far, I've managed ONE tiny sewing project in all of '07, but that's one more than last year. There's a photo on my blog, but it PALES by comparison with your nice dresses and things!
Merry Christmas

Hopewellmomschool....Thanks so much for the kind words. I love the Edwardian dress in Sew Beautiful (the Martha Pullen pattern). I actually have been waiting for the pattern to hit the market...I'll check again this week. My Emily likes the pattern and hopefully I can make her something with it...we'll see. I'd say your sewing has been great this year!!! I love the backpack you made. Very creative and very resourceful!! What's your next project???? You are on a roll...can't stop now!!!

I hope the children are feeling well soon. I know what it's like to have 3 in various stages of illness at one time. It can be a chore to even get dressed. At least they did it before the holiday and not during when it's tougher to get a doctor! Mine usually wait until the middle of the night, or a holiday to become ill. I guess it's all in the timing. Tell them I hope they feel better real soon!!
