Just A Spinning...............
I mentioned awhile back that the girls and I were learning how to spin yarn from wool roving. It has been a fun adventure. The whole process is amazing and mesmerizing. I based my middle school science fair project on the process of shearing sheep, spinning yarn, weaving cloth, etc. So I guess you can say I have been interested in this for quite awhile now. One day I would love to have a spinning wheel (that I know how to use, of course). But for now, we are having a ball spinning chunky yarn with this spindle. Hopefully, thinly spun yarn will come with experience.
Emily's fun is compounded by trying to keep Ethan away from the spindle. It seems all our children want to learn to spin yarn. Maybe we need to get everyone their own drop spindle.....but that might not be nearly as much fun as taking turns.

awwww, i bet this is so much fun, she looks like she is really enjoying herself...ethan too :)
Doing crafts with a little brother can be a whole new adventure. Annabeth has had to deal with that for 7 years now. I think it has taught her a great deal of patience. It looks like Emily doesn't mind the attention too much.
