Mittens, Anyone???

I just finished up these cute mittens for Ethan. I used a pattern from the book Adorable Knits for Tots by Zoe Mellor. They turned out really well, but Ethan wanted nothing to do with them until I put the braided cord on them. Then he decided he liked them too. He likes anything with a cord. I made the size 1-2 years but they are almost too small.....guess I'll go up a size and the worst that could happen would be that they would fit Elisabeth.

I love a quick knit. I have another item on the needles that has been there about two weeks. I am very anxious to get it completed and to start something else. I usually have two or three knitting projects lined up....but as of right now, I'm not sure what my next project will be. Maybe I need to run out to the yarn shop and get some sock yarn. I checked out a great sock book from the library last week.
I have been sewing a little each day...but the work on this double Irish chain quilt seems to be moving slowly. I did get my block of the month for this month completed though. I usually wait until the night before it needs to be completed.....so I'd say I'm starting the year off right!

Ethan looks so cute in the mittens. Your knitting looks so professional. I wish I had the touch for it.
